Donald Trump, ever the proud man, announced today that he was NOT going to run for president even though he felt he would have won the general election.But some insiders say that NBC’s announcement yesterday that the network was prepared to recast the bad haired goofball on his own “Celebrity Apprentice” reality show was the real reason behind his exit.Trump told reporters,

"I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run, I would be able to win the primary and ultimately, the general election. I have spent the past several months unofficially campaigning and recognize that running for public office cannot be done half-heartedly. Ultimately, however, business is my greatest passion and I am not ready to leave the private sector."

Really? Donald, did you really think the country would vote for you? Saturday Night Live Returns with Bin Laden and Tina Fey Doing Sarah Palin – Video

SNL returned last night with its first new show of the season, and it was … just okay.You just knew that with the death of Osama Bin Laden, and the blabbering mouth of Donald Trump in the news, that there would be some golden nuggets of comedy.But there really wasn’t.A pregnant Tina Fey hosted with musical guest Ellie Goulding, and things got off to a mild start with a cold open parody of Osama Bin Laden reading his last will and testament.Watch Osama Bin Laden Read his Will on SNLThe best part of the evening was Tina Fey’s return as Sarah Palin during a sketch about the 2012 Undeclared Candidates GOP Debate. They seem to get so close to greatness but always fall flat.Between the death of Osama Bin Laden and Donald Trump running his mouth, there were so many fantastic opportunities for some great cutting edge comedy that 90 minutes should not have been enough time to cover it all.Take the Osama reading his will sketch – writers really had time to make it epic but it just never pulled the laughs. It’s almost like if they get the set, costume, and impersonation down then whatever they say is funny.And then there was the musical guest Ellie Goulding. She covered Elton Johns “Your Song” and was quite uninspiring. Maybe it’s her voice or the fact that she stood perfectly still during her performances.If this was American Idol, Ellie Goulding never would have made it through the initial screening. She was bad.Saturday Night Live has fallen flat and last night was no exception. So many great possibilities but so many lame jokes and sketched.Weekend Update used to be parody about the week’s top news, but today it’s just a chance to profile weird characters that have nothing to do with the day’s current events. Loose the characters and get back to your roots of spoofing the news.Sorry Lorne Michaels, but I’m glad I have a DVR.But maybe I have just fallen out of the shows demographic. Donald Trump Backs Out of Driving the Indy 500 Pace Car – Good Riddance

Donald Trump is learning that there may be consequences to running his mouth.And for the first time in his life he may have had those now infamous words spoken to him – You’re fired.After what can only be described as a couple of bad weeks of press, the Donald has backed out of, or maybe been fired from, driving the Indy 500 pace car before the big race later this month.The Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s tradition of having a celebrity, or other notable personality, drive the pace lap goes back to the inception of the brickyard event.Trump notified track authorities yesterday saying he was cancelling. Track spokesman Doug Boles said,

“We had conversations with Trump that started yesterday, and he was talking about his concern that he may make an announcement for president ahead of the race and that it may be inappropriate to drive the pace car. So we discussed the political ramifications for everyone, we spoke with him again this morning and he decided to pull aside.”

Really? I would think that being the pace car driver might be a positive thing for a presidential candidate. Is there more to this story? Yes.It seems that a huge number of race fans complained that Trump was too controversial to be the driver, and a grass roots effort was started to oust the blabber mouth from the job.In fact, Indiana State representative Jeb Bardon, who represents the Speedway district, started the opposition with a fiery speech to fellow legislators on the house floor, and a local attorney started a Facebook page that already has 18,000 followers.Why is this story important to me?I was born in Indianapolis and spent my youth going to the track during race month. In later years I got drunk during carb day, and ran through the mud in the infield watching qualifications. It was a tradition. It was a rite of passage.It was an honor to stand and cheer as the pace car drove past signaling the start of the race. Imagining big mouth Donald Trump serving the honor does not sit well with me.Who will they get to replace the Celebrity Apprentice blabber mouth?How about getting someone from our Armed Forces, or a representative from the Navy SEALS, or a local family of a 9/11 survivor. Donald Trump Says He’s Not Convinced Bin Laden Is Dead

Leave it to Donald Trump to once again put his foot in his mouth.When asked for his reaction about the news Osama Bin Laden had been killed, Trump opened his pie hole and started spewing what we have come to expect from him.

“The timing seems wrong. If he was killed last night how can they have DNA evidence back already? Obama said he was working this attack for three months but within hours of the strike he is addressing the nation? Now they say the body has already been dumped in the ocean before the DNA tests are complete? Something doesn’t seem right and frankly we need to find out what really happened over there.”

When asked if this development would help Barack Obama and the Democrats in the 2012 election Trump said,

“Well, frankly I think the whole thing was done the way it was for maximum political gain. When has a President ever gone on television at 11:30 on a Sunday night to address the nation? From what I understand NBC broke into Celebrity Apprentice to guess and speculate on what the President was going to say. Couldn’t they have waited until his speech and my show were over and not ramble for an hour on guessing what might have happened? Frankly, I’m very proud with what I have done with my show and think they could have waited another 15 minutes until the 11:00 news hour to start their reporting.”

Donald, this is why people hate you. These are the kind of prideful and egotistical comments that make people wince when they hear your voice.This is why I’ll never watch Celebrity Apprentice again, and this is why you’ll never be president. Last night was the annual White House Correspondence Dinner, or as insiders call it – “The Nerd Prom”.Guests and celebrities came from all over to eat dinner, drink, and hear Saturday Night Live head writer Seth Meyers roast the president.Obama and Meyers did not waste any time jumping in to the “Long Form Birth Certificate” issue. The funny thing? Donald Trump was in the audience and looked none too happy at some of the jokes.Just watch as the camera pans to Trump during some of the jokes and you will see a very uncomfortable man.Seth Meyers said when he first heard Trump was running for president he thought he would run as a republican – but instead he “ran as a joke.”Meyers then joked, “Donald Trump recently said he has a great relationship with the blacks. But unless the blacks are a white family, he was mistaken.”There were lots of jabs at Fox News, NPR, Trump, and others.The guest list was impressive with Angus T. Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice Loosing Viewers and Advertising Dollars

Donald Trump may have had a good reason to go after Obama about his birth certificate – public relations.While Trump seems to spew on about how his show “Celebrity Apprentice” is the most popular show on NBC, the truth seems quite different.Trumps recent display of hatred toward Jerry Seinfeld and Robert De Niro, along with his bizarre conspiracy about Obama’s birth certificate, may be destroying his reality show.In fact, the numbers look really bad, with viewers 18-49 down over 40% this year, and advertising revenue far behind last year. And with all the Meat Loaf and Gary Busey shenanigans this year one would think the show would be a runaway success.Advertising Age says “Apprentice” ad revenue is down for a couple of reasons.First, Trumps uncertain Presidential run and poor handling of the birth certificate issue has driven advertisers away. The latest? - Groupon, who has pulled their ads from the Trump website.Another reason traditional advertisers are passing on Trump is the increase in product placement during the show. Arby’s, for example, pays a hefty fee when Trump issues a challenge relating to a new menu item or ad campaign.One ad exec says,

“The product placement has become so ‘in your face’ that the entire show is starting to look like Trump is a sellout. The show looks more like a 60 minute infomercial than a prime time realty show. The constant product placement distracts from the usual commercials.”

Sweeps are coming up next month so it benefits Trump to drive as much attention to himself and the show as he can – how convenient there is a political race with his name in it to stir up a little face time.Lastly, the contracts for both Trump and executive producer Mark Burnett expire after this season so there are questions whether NBC will be interested in another season or not.An NBC exec says there are no problems at all,

'The Apprentice' is in a very challenging time slot on Monday nights and it's responded with consistently good results, including the most upscale audience for any unscripted show in prime time. ... It remains a key series for our future."

But when advertising execs are asked you get a different story,

"The Apprentice is generally on the decline. The move to Monday from Thursday nights had a negative effect. But that's not the big issue. It's the content of the show. It's matured. People are looking for other ways to be entertained. They don’t want to watch D-list celebrities sell hamburgers, pizza or wedding dresses."

Trumps last tirade came yesterday at his hotel in Las Vegas where he gave a speech riddled with the F-word and other obscenities to a crowd of over 1000.Unless there is a spectacular race to the finale during sweeps next month, and if Donald can’t keep his mouth shut about Barack Obama and others, then look for this to be the beginning of the end for “The Apprentice”.At least we can still laugh at his bad hair.

The grand douche-bag himself, Donald Trump, is once again running his mouth in a public forum.Trump visited his Trump International Hotel & Tower just off the Las Vegas Strip today to rally supporters for his 2012 presidential campaign.But this was a different Trump than we have seen the last several weeks.The difference? He dropped the “F” word, and other choice curse words, every chance he got.During his half hour speech on foreign affairs, Trump attacked not only Obama, but spewed insults toward other leaders saying,

"Our leaders are stupid, they are stupid people, It's just very, very sad."

There were about 1,000 supporters at the event, and there was free food and an open bar. Obama Slams Donald Trump - Calls His Antics a ‘Side Show’ – Finally Shows Official Birth Certificate

Finally!Somebody has finally done something to shut Donald Trump up.And that somebody is the President of the United States himself Barack Obama.Today, President Obama released his full, long form, birth certificate and made a statement to the White House Press Corp slamming Donald Trump for wasting the countries time.The president said he did not want to have to stoop to this level but that various “people” had turned the issue into a “side show.” While not naming names, it was clear that Obama was referring to Donald Trump.You can view the official certificate by clicking the image to the right.Trump has made a huge issue of Obama’s birth certificate this last month, and has also lashed out at comedian Jerry Seinfeld and Robert De Niro for no apparent reason.When Trump was asked if this now satisfied his needs he said,

“I am very proud to be the one to bring this issue to the forefront. But I’ll have to look at it. I want to make sure it’s real. He should have done this a long time ago. I am really honored to have played such a large role in this. I am very proud and honored”

What a dick.But just as Trump seems uncomfortably satisfied about the birth certificate issue, he has no intentions of going away quietly and has now launched a tirade on Obama about his grades.That’s right – his college transcripts. Trump says Obama was a poor student and has not released his college transcripts because he doesn’t want people to know saying,

"I heard he was a terrible student, terrible. How does a bad student go to Columbia and then to Harvard? I'm thinking about it, I'm certainly looking into it. Let him show his records. I was a good student and I’m very proud of that."

Man, this guy just won’t go away. And he sure does seem to be very proud and honored that he is The Donald Trump. Donald Trump seems to be lashing out at everybody these days.Now he has gone after one of the nicest guys in Hollywood – Jerry Seinfeld.And it’s all over Jerry canceling a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital fundraiser for his friend “The Donald.”Seinfeld said he cancelled because he was tired of hearing Trump rant about taking all the oil in Iraq and Libya, and thinks his rants about Obama’s birth certificate are out of place.Seinfeld is also amused that Trump thinks he would make a better Presidential candidate than Mitt Romney because he has more money and is more famous.Donald then responded in what can only be called an uncomfortable andabusive way,

"I just learned you canceled a show for my son's charity because of the fact that I am being very aggressive with respect to President Obama, who is doing an absolutely terrible job as our leader.”“We don't care that you broke your commitment. What I do feel badly about is that I agreed to do, and did, your failed show, 'The Marriage Ref,' even though I thought it was absolutely terrible. . . . Despite its poor ratings, I didn't cancel on you like you canceled on my son and St. Jude. I only wish I did.”"You should be ashamed of yourself!"

Every now and then there are people who I wish would just go away. Today, Donald Trump is that person. Why?The Donald has now thrown his hat, or bad hair, into the ring for the 2012 Presidential campaign.Really?Trump running for President? Donald, please don’t ask Gary Busey to be your running mate or Joan Rivers to be your Secretary of State.First off, the only political experience he has is dealing with other politicians in the New York and New Jersey commercial building, golf course, and casino business. Okay, so he knows how to pay people off and likes golf.He also knows how to get D-list celebrities to make pizza, sell wedding dresses, and plug product placement deals on his show “Celebrity Apprentice”. But that type of extreme leadership pales in comparison to what it takes to be president.And last week on “The View” he went on and on about how Barack Obama should just “step up” and produce a copy of his birth certificate. Oh no… another birther. I thought we had settled that a long time ago.In a masterful attempt to “show how easy it was”, Donald produced for the media what he said was a copy of his own birth certificate. But there was only one problem.What he actually produced was just an unofficial hospital birthing record – NOT his official birth certificate. That’s kind of embarrassing.Trump even accused the Governor of Hawaii of a cover-up regarding the issue, and the Governor shot back calling Trump “a fool”.Of course we all know that Trump could never really get elected, and I hope that deep down Donald himself realizes that – but I’m not so sure.After all, four years in Washington would put a serious crimp in his television production schedule. He even told reporters that he couldn’t say anything about running until production on “Celebrity Apprentice” was over. Really?Donald – there are too many real problems in this world for you to be wasting our time with some type of selfless promotion regarding running for president. You know you have zero chance of winning so please step aside and let the real contenders battle this out. Bret Michaels In ICU With Subarachnoid Brain Hemorrhage

"Celebrity Apprentice" bad boy and rock band "Poison" lead singer Bret Michaels was admitted to the hospital, and later the intensive care unit, on Thursday night.Michaels had been complaining of an excruciating headache and after scans, tests, and an angiogram was told he had suffered from a subarachnoid brain hemorrhage.This condition is caused from bleeding near the base of the brain stem.Bret is currently in critical condition.Michaels, 47, had just undergone an emergency appendectomy in early April and was reported to be recovering nicely.Michaels is also diabetic.Friday Update: Bret Michaels is awake, in good spirits and talking to doctors…_
